Introduction and User Interaction Strategy
I am Pooja T Noyan and my goals and objectives for this assignment are to produce an app working under the body of the ministry of design to boost tourism in Trinidad or Tobago according to a brief. This app is targeted at foreigners, ages 18 to 50 that can use the app to navigate our country, follow events, and find locations and more. This app includes 3 different types of information as follows, 1 Major and 1 minor event, 3 site seeing locations and 2 local restaurants which are Carnival, Turtle nesting season, Tobago Goat Race, Nylon Pool, Caroni Bird Sanctuary, Gasparee Caves, Krave and The City Wok in that order. The use of these pages is to inform the user of the many activities and locations we have in our country in which they can participate in. The end user testing this app can interact and engage in the app by using the link provided to gain access to the app followed by applying it to a situation; in this case, they are in a new country and need navigational and educational tools to assist.
Technology Strategy
The technology used in the development of this assignment is professional quality software and hardware. The steps in which I look were planning the outline of my app via sitemaps on the GlooMaps website, then doing a wireframe of my app to see the layout and content in Adobe Illustrator and finally do the prototype which included the final imagery, filled texts, content and activities which was done in Adobe XD. The coding portion was done in Brackets which are in the format of HTML and CSS. All of which are recognized software. My project follows the themes and principles of UI and UX Designs as well as typography and colour design. Some UI principles are Clarity, Conciseness, Familiarity, Responsiveness, Consistent, Attractiveness, Efficiently, Forgivingness.
The UI principles used in the design of my app
Clarity- in the form of my navigation bar on the bottom of my screen for easy access
Concise- the paragraphs of information I wrote within the different pages
Familiar- in the sense of the navigational bar is located on the bottom of each page
Responsive- in the form of my images load up really quickly for the user to preview and navigate through the site easily.
Consistent- in which my page styling with consistent design all through the app, navigational bar at the bottom in  every page and the back button on each page.
Attractive- my site is very simplistic and not too crowded so it gets the job done. It also uses 3 neutral colours which are white, grey and black along with a pop of colour, red, to accentuate the important information.
Efficient- my app serves as one click while you’re doing a task therefore being quick and using less effort.
Forgiving- my app is forgiving in the sense if you click something on accident; it is fairly easy to click off it and not have any costly mistakes.
Code changes and App Similarity
In the screenshot below I will prove that the code belongs to the app by interchanging colours and the coding of the colours. This way the code will prove that it belongs to the app.
On the line of color: rgba (0,0,0,1), the login being black and in the below images we can observe that that line was changed therefore the login changes to a red colour.
Color: rgba (255,0,0,1), being the red login

Aesthetic and Visual Strategy
At first I was going with a grey and white theme with red black and white but that quickly changed as it wasn’t aesthetic for my target audience. Instead I opted on going with a tropical royalty free picture as a highlight as we are a Caribbean country, a white background so everything fits and shows clearly with hints of red black and white throughout the app giving it a pop of Trinidad culture and colour. The font that was used were two downloaded fonts: being Simplicity and Stupid Meeting, from DaFont.com which is also royalty free. Size 21 in Simplicity for regular text, minor headings were Stupid Meeting in size 27 and major headings were 64. Red, black and white is the hell of graphic design to pull together but since I used it in moderation; being mostly white and black with the pop of red as a highlighting tool, it worked out pretty well. The overall app I wanted to keep it clean, information heavy and concise. I think this app achieved its purpose according to the design principles of Emphasis, Balance and Alignment, Contrast, Repetition, Proportion, Movement and White Space.
Emphasis- Having the information stand out the most in the app and let the user know what the app is about.
Balance and Alignment- All of my pages are centered and squared off bringing more of the alignment factor.
Contrast- The app “Pops” with the red colour that I used to build contrast against the black and white.
Repetition- in this case, the navigational bar and the design of the pages are repeated giving the app that overall complete feel.
Proportion- Lettering and images are readable and viewable without obstruction.
Movement- how the pages with the events, locations and the restaurants are sliding along.
White Space- The key to a good design is space management and this is what we accomplished by using white for negative space and black and red for positive space, all in keeping with the theme.

What is data driven content?
Data driven content is a type of strategy used for online content marketing. The data is collected from a targeted audience or user and is then used to create effective content marketing campaigns such as Infographics, Memes, Videos ,Guides, Book Reviews, Opinion Posts, Product Reviews, How-To-Guides, Numbered Lists, Link Pages, Ebooks, Case Studies, Podcasts, Interviews, Research and Original Data.
Benefits and Drawbacks
Since data driven content marketing uses real data obtained through real user feedback and interactions, this gives the company an insight into the user’s preferences and habits as it analyzes their behavior online hence it helps companies optimize how to go about their marketing. It also allows them to track performance in real-time. Using data collected as the beginning to a new content marketing approach also enhances the user’s experience, therefore eventually leading to increased revenue and greater profits for the company.
Some drawbacks are Data corruptions if using software, storage of the data will be an issue, an overload in data making the company adapt to the changes in marketing and maybe loose what they initially started as their vision and mission statement.
Impact of user testing and client feedback
Below are some of the benefits of feedback and testing:
Increased motivation- If creators receive positive feedback about their work, they’ll feel appreciated and more motivated.
Greater performance- Creator’s work will reach a higher standard when they know their efforts are valued and when they receive feedback that highlights areas for improvement.
Continuous learning- By giving constructive and frequent feedback, particularly if it includes areas to improve, you teach creators new ways to do things.
Personal growth- Both positive and negative feedback shows creators their strengths as well as areas to work on. This makes them more self-aware and provides them with invaluable opportunities for personal improvement.
Increased confidence- When you give creators positive feedback, and let them know whenever they’ve done something well, you increase their confidence in their work. This makes them feel happier to come to work.
My Feedback
For my app, my major feedback being the negative was that one minor thing was offcentered and one was slightly too large. As the emergency passcode in the app exists, it is soley incase of defects in the fingerprint scanner. Overall the feedback was pretty good, some told me that my placement of colours were exceptional, some said that the app looks more like a functional app more than a prototype of an app. Some loved the aesthetic of it and some generally loved the entire thing. As far as analysis goes, I have fixed the two issues of off centered and I had the text go a bit smaller in the beginning start up page. Below are some of my responses of my survey for my app
